A British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association survey shows that connected car technology, driverless features and safety advancements are becoming increasingly important for the fleet industry. More than 6 in 10 respondents said connectivity and tech integration will be crucial by 2019. "Whether it's safety functions such as autonomous emergency braking, or fleet management features such as telematics, the rental and leasing sector is well aware of the potential of developments in automotive technology," BVRLA's Gerry Keaney said.
