The Department of Veterans Affairs should follow Arizona and other states that allow nurse practitioners to practice to the full scope of their education and training if it really wants to increase access and improve the quality of health care for veterans, American Association of Nurse Practitioners Immediate Past President President Angela Golden writes. "State regulatory changes easing restrictions on nurse practitioners have resulted in only positive outcomes for patients, and no state has ever reversed a decision granting patients greater nurse practitioner access," Golden writes.
