The Environmental Protection Agency reports that the level of toxic air pollutants has dropped by more than 50% from the levels of the 1990s. "It shows that we’ve made considerable gains in improving our air quality across the country," without negatively affecting economic recovery, said EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy.
