A geothermal facility in Iceland

The Caribbean nations spend colossal sums importing fossil fuels -- but that could change as the islands begin to develop their geothermal resources. There is "a high probability that a good portion of all energy needs on the islands could come from geothermal resources," says Gunnar Örn Gunnarsson, chief operating officer at Reykjavik Geothermal.
