Consumers want to know they can depend on the energy grid to provide power and they're willing to pay a little extra for it, according to a survey sponsored by GE. In its Grid Resilience Survey, GE found that users would pay as much as $10 more a month if utilities would invest in the technology to improve grid reliability. The company offers five steps utilities can take to prevent outages.
