The Omega Institute in New York's Hudson Valley is seeking to educate a new generation of female leaders. The institute offers classes on topics such as finance and communication, but it also focuses on helping women change power structures that traditionally have excluded them. The "command-and-control leadership model" is giving way to a more collaborative approach, said Carla Goldstein, a founder of the Omega Women's Leadership Center.
