Phone-n-Fix, which has stores in South Dakota and North Dakota and soon will open in Iowa, aims to have 300 stores in five years, said TJ Barthman, CEO of the repair and used cellphone retailer. "When you can get newer, certified pre-owned devices for hundreds of dollars off retail, it makes sense for a lot of people," Barthman said.
Phone-n-Fix will open locations in Ankeny and West Des Moines, Iowa, as part of a two-unit franchise deal with Jill Van Zee and John Kolb. The locations are expected to open in the fall, giving Phone-n-Fix its first two stores in the state.
Phone-n-Fix has announced a franchise program that will enable the company to grow throughout the US. "We are initially looking to add 25 new franchise locations in the next year, then grow to more than 300 locations in the next five years," Executive Vice President Steve Michael said.
