The economic damage caused by the storms Harvey and Irma together will be as expensive as that caused by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, according to Moody's Analytics. The estimated costs of Harvey and Irma total $150 billion to $200 billion, and Katrina resulted in $160 billion in damages.
