Youths with chronic illness may be better prepared for managing health
Researchers found that older teens and young adults with chronic conditions were more prepared to transition to handling their own health care, and more independent and involved in accomplishing health-related tasks such as medication management and health issue tracking, compared with healthy peers. The findings were published in the Journal of Adolescent Health.
