Americans are eating a better diet, study says
Americans overall are eating a higher-quality diet, but more affluent people have better diets than those at lower income levels, researchers from the Harvard School of Public Health reported in JAMA Internal Medicine. The study, which involved more than 29,000 adults, found that more than 50% of the improvement seen in a 10-year span came from eating fewer trans fats, but people also are choosing more fruits and whole grains and fewer sugar-sweetened beverages. AHRQ asks for scientific data on HIE use
The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality is soliciting scientific information related to the use of health information exchanges. CMS releases schedule of end-to-end ICD-10 testing periods
The CMS has confirmed the schedule of end-to-end ICD-10 testing periods that will enable 2,550 providers and other submitters to evaluate their ICD-10 processes to ensure they are ready to transmit claims and receive remittance advice regarding the adjudication of their claims.
