Eight Martin's Food Markets stores in Richmond, Va., are displaying healthy food and drinks at checkout through a partnership with nonprofit Greater Richmond Fit4Kids and the city's health department. - RAND study finds rapid growth among retail clinics
Nonprofit researcher RAND found that visits to retail medical clinics quadrupled between 2007 and 2009, with the portion of patients older than 65 increasing from 8% to 19%. "Retail medical clinics continue to grow rapidly and attract new segments of users," study author Dr. Ateev Mehrotra said.
