- DHL sees no disadvantage after converting vehicles to autogas
International shipping company DHL Express sees no disadvantage to using propane autogas after rolling out 21 autogas-fueled vehicles in October. "It's a proven technology. We continue to convert and to use them in markets where it makes sense. ... Where you run high miles, LPG is the best choice with the technology we have today," said John Fox, vice president and general manager of the company's Southeast U.S. operations. - Glass firm converts vehicles to propane autogas
Texas-based Fashion Glass & Mirror has partnered with CleanFuel USA to convert its vehicles to run on propane autogas. The company is initially converting 40 of its vehicles, with plans to convert new vehicles as they are ordered. The project was funded by a grant from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. - Propane autogas is alt-fuel "dark horse" in N.Y. county
Propane autogas is growing in popularity in Monroe County, N.Y., because of the fuel's performance and economic benefits. Dave Butters, the county's asset manager, said the idea of using propane autogas was first met with skepticism, as the fuel was a relative unknown, but as the county experienced the fuel's power, more fleet operators turned to the fuel.
