McKesson offers clinical applications on Red Hat Linux
McKesson Corp. is offering its Horizon Clinicals applications for health care providers based on Red Hat's Enterprise Linux operating system, which it says is less costly than non-open source platforms. Hitachi unveils an even smaller RFID chip
Hitachi's latest RFID chip is one-sixtieth of the size of its Mu-chip predecessor. The as-yet-unnamed chip is thin enough to be embedded in a piece of paper, although, because of its minuscule size, it requires an external antenna to read information from it. Wired/Associated Press (2/2007)
