Coming up at the 2009 MIXX Conference & Expo
The IAB's MIXX Conference & Expo, the preeminent event for marketing and agency professionals and the publishers and technology firms who help drive their efforts, is being held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Manhattan's Times Square, Sept. 21 to Sept 22.
MIXX brings together thought leaders, practitioners and industry insiders for two days of panels, workshops, keynotes and networking. The event culminates with the presentation of the MIXX Awards, which recognize excellence in all facets of interactive advertising, including strategy, creative development and execution, media placement and integration, effectiveness and ROI.

A case study in TV-social net mashups
When Intuit wanted to drive participation in the "Superstatus" social-media contest, it turned to NBC Universal. The resulting cross-promotion, which tied custom vignettes involving NBCU shows to the "Superstatus" contest, boosted awareness and participation.
