ISPs: U.S. should be proud of broadband record
Americans get more bang for the buck as far as broadband service, speakers representing telecoms and cable companies asserted at SUPERCOMM 2009. More than 90% of households will have access to some broadband service by year-end, they pointed out. "As a percent of per capita GDP, we spend less in the U.S. on broadband than other developed countries. The value for broadband in this country from an end-user perspective is superior," said John Stankey, the head of AT&T Operations. InternetNews.com (10/22)
