Comcast announces more day-and-date VOD films

Comcast announced that it soon would offer its video-on-demand subscribers 10 major Hollywood movies on the same day that they become available as DVD releases. The so-called day-and-date strategy has turned out to be an important initiative for the company, which has struck such deals this year with top studios, including Warner Bros./New Line, Fox and Universal.
