Cardinal looks to RFID as solution to Calif.'s pedigree legislation

Cardinal Health is preparing to implement the RFID technology it believes will be necessary to comply with California's pharmaceutical pedigree legislation that goes into effect in January 2009. Pharmaceutical makers will be required to originate item-level pedigrees for drugs distributed in-state, and companies within the supply chain will be responsible for upgrading the pedigrees at each exchange of ownership.  DC Velocity (05/2007)
