Southern Wine strengthens presence in Northeast
Miami-based distributor Southern Wine & Spirits of America has announced the creation of Southern Wine & Spirits of Delaware, a move that comes on the heels of its acquisition of Delaware Importers. "The Delaware acquisition solidifies our position as one of the major players in the Northeast corridor of the United States," President-CEO Wayne E. Chaplin said. The company also said it had purchased Columbus-based Postiy Wine & Spirits of Ohio, which is on top of its July purchase of Cleveland-based Paramount Wine & Spirits' Brokerage operations.
