Camera kit offers in-home security via Wi-Fi

SecurityMan is marketing a new DIY kit that includes a pair of weatherproof cameras that run on a home's Wi-Fi system and do not suffer interference from 2.4 GHz/5.8 GHz devices that often affect Wi-Fi routers, the company said. Priced at $160, the FreeCam2 captures footage from up to 23 feet, while the 900-MHz transmitter carries video up to 330 feet to TV sets or recorders, SecurityMan said.
