Report: PaaS category to hit $15 billion by 2016
The Platform-as-a-Service category, an area just beginning to attract the attention of independent software vendors and resellers, will grow to become a $15 billion market by 2016, according to research from Forrester. The development also has been noticed by David Shacochis, vice president for research and development at Savvis, who said PaaS systems allow users to upload code and test quickly without building out a server environment.
