USTelecom's McCormick denounces calls to regulate the Internet
Yesterday, at the FTC's Broadband Connectivity Summit, USTelecom CEO Walter B. McCormick Jr. said attempts to regulate the Internet, for the first time ever, would harm consumers, innovation and investment. Highlighting the success from a consumer-driven environment, McCormick pointed to today's dynamic and highly competitive Internet market and called for government policies that understand how the Internet works and what is meant by network management, quality of service and prioritization.
