Cisco, Nokia race to link cell phones, corporate VoIP

New dual-mode phones from Cisco and Nokia are designed to sense whether 802.11g or GSM radio networks have the strongest signal before placing calls. The dual-mode Nokia E61i and E65 smartphones handsets use software that enables them to operate as a corporate phone extension off a Cisco CallManager IP PBX and messaging infrastructure.
