Educator draws on literary inspiration to lead

Gregory Fowler, the new president at the University of Maryland Global Campus, works to find new ways to help upskill the workforce and bring more nontraditional students into higher education, he explains in this Q&A. As a leader, he notes that he relies on the wisdom of literature to help -- at times drawing on the humor, powerful emotion and drama he's learned from Mark Twain, Richard Wright and Shakespeare, for example.
