Walmart wants to expand its use of renewable energy sources in its stores and warehouses from 29% of the total today to 100% by 2035, largely through power purchase agreements with green energy companies. The retailer is also on a mission to shrink the carbon footprint of its supply chain through an initiative launched last month that will let suppliers band together to obtain group pricing for renewable energy.
