Why Best Buy is betting bigger on digital

Best Buy shared further details Thursday on its digital-first plan, which includes cutting 5,000 jobs this month and will also mean closing some stores as more customer spending shifts online. The retailer's digital sales totaled $6.7 billion in the fourth quarter, a 90% increase from the year-ago period, and Best Buy expects to derive about 40% of sales from digital channels this year.
