Many US consumers turned out to support small merchants and avail themselves of curbside pickup on Black Friday and many more logged onto online retail sites to set a new record for online shopping the day after Thanksgiving. Online shoppers spent $9 billion on Black Friday, 22% more than the same day last year, making it the second-biggest one-day spending total behind Cyber Monday 2019, according to Adobe Analytics.
