The 10-year US Treasury yield reached 3% Wednesday for the first time since June, sent higher by news that private payrolls had risen more than experts expected and by the government's plan to increase bond offerings. Meanwhile, Treasury borrowing has increased by 63% in the first half of this year compared with the same period in 2017.
