Wright State University in Ohio has received a $450,000 grant from the NIH for its study of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and what role the FUS gene plays in the disease. Researchers will focus on mutations within the FUS gene that make it toxic and how to counteract such changes in the hope it will lead to potential treatments.
