Hints of atmosphere around exoplanet baffle scientists

Clues that a hot Neptune closely orbiting a star about 260 light-years away from Earth may have an atmosphere have scientists scratching their heads. Data collected by the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite and the Spitzer Space Telescope suggest LTT 9779b has an atmosphere, which astronomers say in Astrophysical Journal Letters shouldn't exist because of its extremely high temperature.
