The Canadian Institute of Health Research is offering $15.1 million in grants over a five-year period for studies about post-traumatic stress injuries suffered by public safety personnel. The Canadian Institute for Public Safety Research and Treatment, which will support the project's initial phase, intends its research to be used in development of policy that recognizes the stress faced by public safety workers.
