Nonavian dinosaur dating back more than 160M years had bat-like wings

A new species of nonavian dinosaur that lived more than 160 million years ago during the Jurassic Period had leathery wings similar to those of bats instead of feathers, according to findings published in Nature. The fossil of the scansoriopterygid was found in northeastern China.
