A woman with a transplanted uterus has given birth to a healthy baby girl, the first such pregnancy and delivery using uterine tissue from a deceased donor, according to a study published online by The Lancet. There have been several successful uterus transplants using living donors, but the success of this procedure could open up more fertility options for women who lack wombs, researchers say.
