Cat owners' supervision levels can affect their pets' behavior and how they interact with their surrounding environments, according to findings published in Frontiers in Ecology and the Environment. The study identified five types of cat owners ranging from "concerned protectors" who focus first on cats' safety to "laissez-faire landlords" who don't pay attention to felines' hunting and outdoor roaming behaviors.
