Telehealth visits accounted for 43.5% of all fee-for-service Medicare primary beneficiaries in April compared with 0.1% in February, the US Department of Health and Human Services reported after analyzing claims for the first half of the year. The increases were most prominent in urban areas although telehealth also gained ground in rural zones.
