AT&T and Verizon will use the start of the National Football League season this weekend to give fans a taste of 5G's potential, with Verizon saying it will equip 13 stadiums with its 5G "Ultra Wideband" links. AT&T will confine its 5G activities to the Dallas Cowboys' home AT&T Stadium by demonstrating augmented reality technology and allowing fans to test 5G speeds on phones and mobile hot spots.
