CenturyLink is building 28 towers to provide 5G fixed wireless service in rural areas where fiber builds are not economical, Chief Technology Officer Andrew Dugan said, adding the telecom is using Citizens Band Radio Service for the deployment. CenturyLink is leveraging its Connect America Fund grant to help finance the project.
