Verizon introduced in-home 4G-based fixed wireless broadband service to rural areas in five states, with plans to expand to more places outside its current service areas for 5G Home and Fios, as a response to the growth in remote learning and work. The LTE Home Internet service starts at $40 a month, provides 25 to 50 megabits per second for downloads and allows subscribers to install the equipment themselves.
