Manufacturers are expected to make greater use of artificial intelligence in the next 10 years, which will lead to the creation of new jobs requiring AI skills, writes Stephen Gold, president and CEO of the Manufacturers Alliance for Productivity and Innovation. So-called hybrid roles in which humans and machines enable each other will contribute to a shortage of workers that will need to be addressed, he writes.
