Report lists top causes of project disagreements

Changes in scope of work, flawed designs, poor management of subcontractors, poor workmanship and different interpretations of contracts are among the top causes of project disputes, according to an HKA analysis of 1,185 projects with a combined $1.8 trillion in spending. Litigation is still the most popular course of resolution in the Americas, but mediation is gaining ground, the report found.
