Companies seeking forgiveness for Paycheck Protection Program loans can apply any time before the maturity date of the loan, but if a company does not apply within 10 months after the last day the covered period, it must begin making payments, writes attorney Anna Nagornaia. Lenders have 60 days to review forgiveness applications before submitting them to the Small Business Administration, which has 90 days to make a decision.
