Establishing a knowledge library, then having junior and new employees use it, is an effective way to offset the departure of seasoned workers from a company, writes industry strategist David Swider. With a cloud-based system containing photos, drawings, correspondence and other key documents, a construction firm would "gain a higher degree of contextual project understanding" as well as have "easy access to data that assists in making more accurate and timely project decisions," he adds.
