BHP Billiton is being sued for almost $5 billion in damages by more than 200,000 claimants after a 2015 dam collapse in Brazil. The mining firm "was woefully negligent" in the incident, which killed 19 people and displaced 700 others, Tom Goodhead, partner at law firm SPG, says.
