A Delaware Chancery Court judge has ruled that Rent-A-Center does not have to move forward with a sale to Vintage Capital Management because the retailer used proper procedures to cancel the deal after Vintage failed to meet an extension deadline. Vintage offered to buy the 2,350-store chain last June in a deal valued at $1.37 billion.
