A Florida contractor that defaulted on two state department of transportation projects said it is working with its surety providers to make sure all subcontractors get paid, and an FDOT spokesperson said, "The FDOT is working with the sureties to make sure the most qualified contractors take over the projects as soon as possible." Another project on which the company defaulted remains in limbo as officials consider how to move forward.
