A list of eight types of medical device accessories to be reclassified to Class I has been finalized by the FDA in compliance with the FDA Reauthorization Act of 2017. The decision takes effect May 13, with the list including ureteral stent accessories; corneal inlay inserter handles; biliary stent, drain and dilator accessories; and suprapubic catheter accessories.
