More researchers and public health experts are voicing support for more accessible COVID-19 testing using less accurate tests that can be administered quickly and frequently, such as antigen testing kits by BD and Quidel that are authorized for emergency use. "Even if you miss somebody on Day 1, if you test them repeatedly, the argument is, you'll catch them the next time around," said Omai Garner, UCLA Health system's director of clinical microbiology.
