Makers of Class I medical devices and software now have a four-year transitional period to prepare their technical documentation before undergoing notified body review in the EU. Amendments proposed to the European Union's Medical Device Regulation mean certain devices in full compliance with the current MDD are permitted on the market until May 26, 2024.
