AliveCor has received clearance from the FDA for its six-lead personal electrocardiogram device, KardiaMobile 6L. The palm-sized, three-electrode device, which is expected to be released to consumers by mid-June, uses an accompanying smartphone app to conduct scans and can capture data from locations that can't be accessed with a wrist-bound EKG alone.
