Most Ebola cases in Congo have involved women and girls

The World Health Organization is reporting fewer new cases of Ebola virus infection in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the global health agency said women and girls have accounted for 58% of those affected. Meanwhile, HHS has allocated $20.5 million for research at the Albert B. Sabin Vaccine Institute to support the development of vaccines for infections caused by the Marburg virus and Sudan ebolavirus.
