Illumina spinoff Grail plans to conduct a study early next year in the UK of a next-generation sequencing blood test for early detection of multiple cancers, in collaboration with other organizations. The study will enroll approximately 50,000 adults ages 50 to 77 with a significant smoking history but without a cancer diagnosis.
